Session Two
Open data is a powerful tool to access a suite of environmental, planning, asset management, and other useful types of data. Often, the barrier is not knowing how to access it, and even being able to understand what’s available from where.
This webinar workshop will provide you with a QGIS project file with embedded wms open data imagery and data layers, to take the hard work out of this for you. We’ll walk through how to explore the data spatially against aerial imagery, and walk through the different types of data available for NSW areas and what features they have that are relevant to surveyors. We’ll also briefly give an overview of the major organisations who provide free and open data and how to access this easily and conveniently.
