SSSI VIC GIS Breakfast Seminar at Jacobs

Join us for this “Capture Methods for Reality Modelling” breakfast seminar with GIS specialists Ben Vordermaier – Survey Team Leader, Spatial & Information Services, Jacobs, and Brett Sheehan – Surveyor (RePL), Spatial & Information Services, Jacobs.

From RPAs and laser scanners to specialists and existing plans and databases, there are many sources that can be integrated for the creation and update of reality models and BIM. In this breakfast we discuss the approaches, considerations and implications of these methods, drawing from recent experiences in Victoria and overseas in the infrastructure and built environment markets.

Speakers:

Ben Vordermaier
Team Leader/Senior Surveyor
Ben has experience in the survey industry across the disciplines of construction, engineering and consulting. Throughout his career he was worked collaboratively with engineering and construction staff to deliver projects in multiple fields including; commercial construction, land development, civil infrastructure, water infrastructure, mining and power and energy.
 
Brett Sheehan
Surveyor and RPA Pilot
Brett has a Masters of Engineering (Geomatics) and has applied his knowledge and passion of technology and his understanding of workflows to a range of complex and challenging projects and has often acted as an onsite project manager. Brett is accredited by CASA as a Remote pilot and has undertaken aerial surveys for the purpose of updated imagery, to derive survey data and volumes, and for the production of 3D point clouds/reality models across multiple projects.

Anna Murray
Sales Manager -  Product Sales
Anna joined Bentley in 2012 after working in the technology and engineering software sector for organisations such as Microsoft, HP and Autodesk. She now heads up the Product sales team including Reality Modeling, civil, structural and construction solutions. The team is responsible for growing Bentley’s solutions and cloud services with a strong focus on the leading edge ContextCapture software. Reality modelling is innovative software supporting and driving disruptive technologies such as 3D modelling, IoT and Digital Cities.
