Claire is a giver, a motivator, and the ambitious leader of the Volunteer Community Surveyor Program.
Since she was an undergrad at Otago University, Claire has always sought opportunities to give her skills toward a purpose beyond herself. Through volunteering her time to various industry groups, and now in guiding the dedicated VCSP team to scale up the Program, Claire hopes that young surveyors like herself can get a foot in the door of humanitarian and environmental surveying.
Outside of volunteering, Claire also works full-time in Vancouver, Canada at Underhill Geomatics. She is proud to be a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor in New Zealand and continually seeks further education in land-related challenges.
Claire was the People’s Choice, the Young Professional of the Year, and a finalist for the Women’s Leadership Award at the 2018 NZSEAs. Find Claire on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and on the FIG YSN YouTube channel presenting on various VCSP activities.
Dale Atkinson graduated from UTAS (B.Geomatics with honours) in Hobart 2007. He now owns and operates a survey practice in Townsville North Queensland and is currently a director of the SSSI Board. Dale won the Queensland Young Professional of the Year APSEA in 2017. Check out Dale's full profile on LinkedIn.
