ESP-AP Renewal
If your ESP-AP Certification has lapsed less than four years ago, professionals are able to apply for renewal of certification via the process below.
Form
To renew existing ESP-AP Certification that has lapsed, professionals must complete the application form, outlining key project work and CPD undertaken in the previous 12 months.

Review
The application will be reviewed by the SSSI Engineering Surveying Certification Panel (ESCP) within approximately two weeks (except over the Christmas period where this xould extend to approximately for weeks).
Cost
The cost to renew ESP-AP Certification is:
- SSSI Members - $220 inc GST
- Non SSSI Members - $605 inc GST
An invoice for the Renewal Fee will be issued on receipt of the application form. Payment must be made before the application is reviewed by the ESCP.
Right of Appeal
If an applicant is denied renewal of certification and feels the decision is no warranted, they have the right to appeal.
Applicants can email the SSSI Chief Executive Officer on
ceo@sssi.org.au within one (1) month of the receipt of the decision and provide details of the application and why they believe the incorrect outcome was reached.
The CEO will convene a review panel consisting of themselves, one Company Director and the Chair of the Engineering & Mining Surveying Commission (or another Committee member should the Chair also sit on the ESCP) - or any other configuration as directed by the Board.
The review panel will consider the appeal within 30 days and provide final judgement - their decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
