GISP-AP Certification

Get certified

As part of our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence and relevance, the GCA Board has made the decision to temporarily suspend the GISP-AP Certification program.

Next steps:
At GCA, we understand that the world of professionals is constantly evolving, and certifications must adapt to meet industry needs. To ensure that the GISP-AP Certification program remains not only relevant but also a benchmark of excellence, we will be conducting a comprehensive needs analysis. This analysis will guide us in reshaping the program to align with the dynamic demands of the industry.

Current GISP-AP Certification Holders:
We recognise and appreciate the dedication and effort that GISP-AP certificate holders invest in maintaining their professional currency. To support you during this transitional period, we have established a grandfathering process. Starting from 19 September 2023, all current GISP-AP Certification holders will continue to enjoy the recognition of their certification until 18 September 2028.

As part of this grandfathering policy, we kindly request that you “Maintain Your Currency” by accumulating 40 CPD points every five years. This practice ensures that you remain at the forefront of industry developments and best practices.

We appreciate your understanding and commitment to professional development as we strive to enhance the Certification program. In the meantime, if you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

GISP-AP Certification
Additionally a GISP-AP is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional who has been assessed as meeting the minimum standards for ethical conduct and professional practice, as defined by the program (refer to the GISP-AP Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct).
