It has been a hectic 2018 (or nine months of it in my case). It has been a year where we – the whole SSSI family – have embarked on the biggest program of change and growth in SSSI history. Our achievements have not been perfect, and as always there have been some stumbles. However, we have started a reshaping of SSSI which, over the next few years, will recreate our organisation as one the best member organisations in Australia,
It has been an exciting ride. I am confident and look forward with excitement to the great improvements yet to come. I thank the leadership of SSSI across our Board, Commissions and Committees, and of course the SSSI staff, for driving our strategic change program whilst continuing to deliver some extraordinary members events at the same time. It has been a fine balancing act and each of our team has shown great commitment to make it work.
Most importantly, I thank our SSSI members for your open-minded and open-hearted welcome to me, and commitment to working together towards a better SSSI.
On behalf of the SSSI staff team, I’d like to wish SSSI members and family a joyous Christmas and a happy, healthy and successful 2019.
