We are delighted to announce our new four-year partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Federation of Land Surveying and Geomatics (ASEAN FLAG). Recognised and accredited by ASEAN since 1996, ASEAN FLAG is a nonprofit organisation that strives to promote and advance the science, practice and application of land surveying and geomatics, and to foster regional, national and international cooperation and transfer of technology.
Engr Randolf S. Vicente, President of ASEAN FLAG, and Dr Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse, President of SSSI, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the South East Asia Survey Congress (SEASC) in Darwin on Thursday 15 August 2019. SEASC 2019 is Southeast Asia’s premier event for surveying professionals and is proudly co-hosted by ASEAN FLAG and SSSI. Mr Gerry Ong, Senior Vice President of GPS Lands, and Peter Olah, SSSI CEO, witnessed the memorandum signing.

President Randolf S. Vicente of ASEAN FLAG said of the partnership,
“This Memorandum of Understanding has been conceived by ASEAN FLAG and SSSI primarily to come together and collaborate under the ambit of ASEAN and its six FTA members. The said document is timely and significant, considering the challenges and changing demands of the times that surveyors and the profession as a whole are facing. As an imperative strategic initiative, both organisations look forward to a stronger linkage, a vibrant relationship, and sustained relevance in our respective constituents and the society that both represent.”
SSSI President, Dr Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse, looks forward to the positive outcomes for the industry that will come from the partnership,
