National SICC Chair - Kerry Smyth GISP-AP
Spring is the time of regeneration, colour and new growth. For us time to re-establish our volunteer representatives and strengthen our committees. Yes election time, mid term for SICC but still there are vacancies in every Region. I encourage you to step up and be part of the journey with the new Strategic Road Map.
Only weeks away now, the round of Conferences and Awards in the regions. I encourage you to watch for the calls for papers and sponsorship opportunities. Professional profile and career development are enhanced by your participation in these outreach events.
I urge you to participate in the grass work activities of our Commission so that we can further support these types of opportunities in the future.
If you would like to contribute in any way please contact me personally. Chair.sicc@sssi.org.au

summary of committee meeting
The SICC Committee’s August meeting was primarily devoted to the review of the GISP-AP process.
The committee members discussed the experiences and observations had by themselves and/or their peers. All put forward some ideas for improvement but agreed that there was a need to gather more information on the current procedures and standards.
A series of actions will follow to gather information and documentation to equip the committee with enough background to continue their review.
