We are pleased to announce we have bid for and won the opportunity to host the international mid-term symposium of the ISPRS Technical Commission IV in Australia.
The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is a non-governmental organisation devoted to the development of international cooperation for the advancement of photogrammetry and remote sensing and their applications. The Society's scientific interests include photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial information systems and related disciplines, as well as applications in cartography, geodesy, surveying, natural, earth and engineering sciences, and environmental monitoring and protection. SSSI is the Australian member of ISPRS.
ISPRS is made up of a number of technical commissions with TCIV: Spatial Information Science, currently lead by SSSI member and UNSW lecturer, Professor Sisi Zlatanova.
The event will be held in Perth at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle from Tuesday 22 - Friday 25 October 2024. It will be ideal opportunity for geospatial professionals in this field from across the globe to connect, network and learn.
The theme for the symposium is: Spatial information to empower the metaverse.
