We are also pleased to anounce our guest speaker for this evening, Dr. Rory Donnelly

Rory has a rich experience in a range of geospatial and satellite-derived service sectors, having worked in upstream processing, downstream services and consulting in Australia, France, UK and Belgium in the air quality, renewable energy and marine conservation fields. Most recently Rory was representing the European EO sector at the European Association for Remote Sensing Companies, promoting the sector around the world in collaboration with the Copernicus office. Rory has returned to Australia this year to lead the NGIS EO Data Science team, delivering a range of EO powered solutions to industry, government and NFPs.

INDUSTRY GOLF DAY


The Surveying Profession Annual Golf Day will be held at Maylands Peninsula Public Golf Course - Thursday, 25 November 2021 - 12noon start to 6pm. 

The competition will be held as a Modified Ambrose format for teams of 4 over 18 holes.

There's plenty of prizes up for grabs including the ultimate Trimble Perpetual Trophy plus runner up and novelty prizes for all holes.

Cost is $75 per person. Make up a team of 4 or register as an individual and we will put you in a team. No experience necessary - just come along and have some fun!

WA FELLOWS DINNER


We are pleased to announce the 2021 Western Australian Fellows' Dinner.

The dinner will be held on Wednesday 8 December 2021 and is jointly hosted by the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) and the Western Australian Institution of Surveyors (WAIS).

This dinner is our opportunity to recognise the WA-based Fellows and Honorary Fellows of SSSI & WAIS, individuals that have made a significant contribution to the Institutes and to the surveying and spatial science profession.

Join us for our monthly WA Land Surveying Commission Meetings


SSSI members and friends are welcome to attend the monthly SSSI WA Land Surveying Commission Meetings. These meeting are held via Zoom from 5:30pm on the last Tuesday of each month. 

Join us to hear updates from SSSI, Landgate, the LSLB and of course to discuss current surveying issues and trends. If you would like further information about these meetings, please contact johanna.gastevich@sssi.org.au
