Update on the SSSI National Young Professionals Mentoring Program

Across Australia, almost 80 participants have started the National Mentoring Program, with the first set of mentor-mentee meetings underway and launch events underway in all participating regions over the next few weeks. These launch events aim to bring participants together to celebrate the launch of the program, and provide a local networking forum. APSEA Awards still open – nominate yourself or someone you know!

The Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards 2018 are still open (close from 20 July 2018 - get in quick!). They celebrate the achievements of top spatial information enterprises and individuals, and showcase the finest projects and most significant performance of professionals that the Surveying and Spatial Industry have to offer. Upcoming national competition - GovHack 2018

GovHack 2018 is is an annual ‘hackathon’ competition where participants create things using open data. Teams (which you will form yourselves, up to 10 members) work together over 46 hours to explore, mash up, ideate and communicate your concepts. It’s a competition, and there are prizes (state, national and international), but GovHack is a friendly creative environment. Upcoming conference - Multi-GNSS Asia conference - 23-25/10 2018 in Melbourne at RMIT

This year's Multi-GNSS Asia conference will be a free two-and-a-half-day conference with a generous spread of updates from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signal providers, sessions on industry applications, facilitated networking and young professional and student events.
