Membership Categories & Fees
There are various types of membership in SSSI to suit every stage of a spatial professional's career (Note: Fees for the full financial year are shown below):
The Member level of SSSI is offered to applicants who hold a minimum three-year bachelor degree and at least one year's work experience in a relevant spatial discipline.
The Associate level of SSSI is offered to applicants who hold a diploma or advanced diploma in a relevant spatial discipline.
The Affiliate level of SSSI is offered to applicants who have a technical institute certificate level 1–4 or to those applicants who are over 18 years old and do not hold any post-secondary spatial qualifications.
RETIRED $140
Are you planning on retiring in the near future, but would like to stay connected to the surveying and spatial community? SSSI offers a significantly reduced fee for retired members of $140.

The First Year Graduate level of SSSI is offered to applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree or diploma and are currently in their first year of work.
The Second Year Graduate level of SSSI is offered to applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree or diploma and are currently in their second year of work.
The Third Year Graduate level of SSSI is offered to applicants who have completed their bachelor's degree or diploma and are currently in their third year of work.
Applications from overseas residents are welcome and will need to complete the application for membership and be assessed in the normal manner.
The Student level of SSSI is offered to applicants who are studying full time or part time a relevant spatial course at a university or a technical institute.
