Welcome to SSSI Tasmania

The Tasmanian Region provides members with an active network to maintain professional knowledge and technical skills. We provide the opportunity to meet fellow professionals and share knowledge within the spatial and associated sectors.

Our objectives as a Committee are to service the needs of our members and play our part in growing community awareness of spatial sciences.

We are committed to providing a high quality continuous professional development program for surveying and spatial professionals alike.

Members can participate by attending conferences, seminars and workshops and are afforded the opportunity to contribute by serving on the regional committee, being active in their chosen Commission, or by presenting a paper at one of the many technical sessions, seminars or conferences we facilitate.

Student membership of the Institute is free and the Committee strongly encourages participation from students in events.

We value your feedback on how we can better meet the regions needs and encourage members to contact their Regional Committee members and discuss any issue.
