Donny Darmawan

Donny has been enabling digital technologies throughout his career. He leads the Spatial and Data Engineering team at Arup. Donny has a background in Geospatial and Surveying. Donny is passionate about collaboration and bringing together spatial solution to provide insights in the built environment. He is a people leader who encourage people to love what they do and to realise their potential.

Mingzhe Li

Mingzhe works as a software engineer for Spatial Vision, a spatial IT service and consulting company in Melbourne. He holds a master’s degree in Information Technology with Spatial and bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Mingzhe is passionate about combining information technology, mathematics, and spatial skills to conduct data analysis, web development and spatial visualisation.

Roshni Sharma

Roshni is the Immediate Past Chair of the SSSI YPs after 4 years leading this group to prominence within the industry. Roshi has a background in spatial analysis grounded in environmental science and management. Roshni is passionate about creating opportunities for students and young professionals in the spatial sciences to pave the way forward for their careers.

James Sadler

Michael Topp

Michael works as a Surveyor for Veris Australia based in Brisbane. Michael is currently undertaking the QLD surveyors board cadastral endorsement. Michael is passionate about advocacy of surveying and spatial sciences, encouraging young bright minds into the profession. He volunteers his time with SSSI and various educational institutes with the goal of spreading the exciting opportunities surveying and spatial sciences have to offer.

Sam Fulton

Sam graduated with an honours degree in Applied Geographical Information Systems from Flinders University, completing a thesis on hyperspectral variability of seagrass species. He is currently working in the engineering department at the City of Mitcham, specialising in GIS and asset management. He joined SSSI in 2018 and is now Chair of the SA Young Professionals. He has a passion for pursuing innovation and thinking outside of the box.

Andrew Bembrick

Andrew works as a Hydrographic Surveyor for Precision Hydrographic Services (PHS). He is certified at Level 1 in this field, and strongly believes that professional certification is something that all surveyors should strive for. Outside of hydrography, Andrew is an active volunteer for the SSSI and is passionate about getting the next generation into surveying, space and spatial.

Kristy Petroff

Kristy recently graduated from the University of Tasmania after undertaking a Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science majoring in GIS and Remote Sensing. She currently works as a Spatial Information Officer at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. She became captivated by geospatial information through her love of studying marine science and is interested in how its applications help shape our understanding of the world around us.

Nelson Kuna

Nelson graduated top of year 2010 Bachelor of Geophysical Sciences from The Southampton University School of Ocean and Earth Sciences, National Oceanography Centre. After two years working offshore conducting geophysical, hydrographic, geotechnical and environmental surveys for the oil, gas and renewable energy industry he moved to Australia. Nelson has been working nearshore and inland in support of coastal management, engineering, safety of navigation, dredging, ports and harbours.

Oscar So

Oscar works as a Spatial Analyst at GHD Digital. Oscar gravitated towards the spatial field to combine his two passions - Solving real world problems with maps and technology. Oscar constantly develops opportunities for Young Professionals to further develop their career.
